Service Dog Training Update for Bear B.

From Bear’s first meeting with his person I felt like they were the right team. Of course, his person had the last word on that; and he felt the same way. Yay!
Bear has been a busy boy since he got here. He’s a good boy, but he didn’t have a lot of obedience skills. Of course, those are pretty important for a Service Dog to have 
. So we’ve been working a lot on his basic skills, especially on leash. That’s everybody’s favorite skill, isn’t it lol. It was funny, because he just went charging along like I wasn’t even attached to him. He’s doing much better now, but I don’t think he’s ready to move in with his person yet. Once he’s safe on the leash, he’ll be able to live with his person and I’ll go there to work with them on his SD skills in his new home environment.

We have a long way to go, but he’s a great dog and he and his person love each other already.
